Just wanted to take this time to introduce myself to this board and the A-Sun. Myself and fellow Buc fans are looking forward to new teams, venues, and players. It should be an exciting season. If you guys are as fanatical about college basketball as we are, then rivalries will develop and make for a competitive season. Can't wait until November!
I also wanted to get everyone's outlook about their respective basketball teams this year. I've visited some of A-Sun members' athletic sites, but I wanted to get opinions about the upcoming season.
I think the Buc outlook for this years seems very promising. Last year we had a disappointing season after extremely high expectations. Two conference tournament appearances and narrow losses (3 pts each to Cinncinati and Wake Forest) prior to last season set the stage for disappointment. We had also(prior to last year) won the North Division in the SoCon 4 straight years. At any rate, this year we have addes six new players. Our starters are all returning with the exception of James Anthony (SG). Tim Smith, our most heralded player, was a potential NBA draft pick, is also returning. He's lightning quick and always a scoring threat. I'm extremely happy he' s coming back.
Look forward to hearing feedback about everyone's team.
Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'faithful,
I'm really excited about the upcoming basketball season. Can't wait to see how KSU, UNF, and (especially) ETSU fit in the mix. On the Bucs, you have nearly everyone back but from a poor year. Add playing in 10 unfamiliar arenas. It's kinda hard to predict and that's what will make this season great.
Campbell should win more games than it has the last two seasons combined. (Unfortunately after 3-24 and 2-25 seasons, they can go 6-21 and accomplish that!) Last year, CU was extremely young and, on top of that, suffered a blow when one of our top players was declared academically ineligible. Freshmen players had to jump in. We went 0-20 in the league, but were very competitive and grew up a lot. This year, all but one (with any playing time) return plus 4 recruits - 3 jucos and 1 red-shirt freshman. No team should be hungrier this year than the Camels.
