Interesting article. I think the Bucs will return to prominence if and only if they play solid defense. They are going to score points, and with Brad returning, that will open up the outside game. Defense is all about effort, and last year with 7-8 guys playing, they simply didn't have the legs. Brad is an excellent post defender, and from what I hear, so the Thomas kid from California. I think Dillion will be even tougher this year with a year's D1 experience under his belt. And I predict Andrew Reed is a star in the making. We shall see...
The article was correct about Tim--he's got to distribute the ball. If for no other reason, NBA scouts will scruitinize his assist/turnover ratio.
From what I hear, Courtney Pigram is absolutely incredible. I can't wait to see him play

"The vacancies were filled by the Southern Conference's East Tennessee State and a pair of schools up from Division II's Peach Belt Conference. The Ospreys of the Jacksonville-based University of North Florida are in, as well as the Kennesaw State Fighting Owls from the Atlanta metro area. Both will have to wait until 2009-10 to become full-fledged Division I members -- in the meantime, neither will be eligible for the conference postseason or the NCAA Tournament."
Is that accurate? No A-Sun tourney for UNF or KSU?
If the top 8 teams make the tournament...and 2 are ineligible...then you've gotta feel good about your chances of making the tournament :)

"st", am I included on that "feel good about your chances (for the Camels)??!! By the looks of the summer pick'em, I shouldn't be!!
In 06-07 through 09-10, FAU will be gone and it looks like the teams playing in the tournament will be a definite - Belmont, Lipscomb, ETSU, G-W, Campbell, Mercer, JU, and Stetson...unless maybe Radford joins during that time, but they might serve a 2 year notice in the Big South after (and if) they announce a move to the A-Sun.

Orangecamel - you'd know better than I would! Campbell will win some games this year - too many were close last year. Enough to get into the Top 8, who knows? UNF and KSU both seem capable of ruining the party for others, even though they can't go themselves.

When Birmingham-Southern joined the Big South conference (they would be a great pick up for the A-Sun, but I suppose its not likely since they dont have another AL travel partner), they pretty much ran the table, but were inelgible for the Big South postseason. Thus, there was talk they could get an at-large bid. Im wondering if this could be a possible scenario for UNF or KSU?
Anyone have any clue?
