For the simple fact that its really acctually hard for me to decide which one I like more, college baseball or college football, I went with baseball because everyone and their mom is gonna vote for football, and I want College Baseball to get some respect, much more fun than basketball if you ask me.

Of course, being in Kentucky, I voted for college basketball. One of the few sports where the little guy can still win it all!

LOL, great post. That's true only football counts in Texas. But ya'll also have some great baseball teams along with some great basketball teams. 04-cheers

I'll admit how little I care for football... I've been to two 1-A football games in my life. 1996 uk vs ul game in Lexington and the 2001 Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida State and Oklahoma (st?).

Now, I go to EVERY WKU football game and will even travel. I was privilleged to be able to watch Western win its 1-AA National Championship.

I don't buy season tickets currently in football (I do basketball), I can usually get free ones, but I've said for years if we go 1-A I will by season tickets. I would increase my Hilltopper Athletic Foundation (booster organization) if we went 1-A. I know several other WKU fans that have said the same thing.

Jeff, you don't know what you're missing.

I used to say the same thing when MT was 1-aa. Wait until WKU moves up and you start playing Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, OSU, etc.

I promise (and I used to be pretty much an "all-basketball" fan in the 80's).

I know MT loses almost all of their "name" football games, but it sure is fun trying. Road trips are much more fun than home games, IMO.

Wish we could get some of the "names" to play us on our home field.

The "Candybuilt" wins were great fun, since Dudley Field is essentially "Jones Field North".

Yeah, like Kentucky and Louisville would play us. HAHAHAHAHA. We're 1-AA and they won't play us. Why would they play us when we are 1-A and could actually beat them!?! Kentucky will never play us in Basketball or Football.

Sad thing, two premier legendry basketball programs with hall of fame coaches, Kentucky and Western Kentucky have only played FIVE, EVER. Coach Rupp at uk refused to play Coach Diddle, and it continued. Two of the five were NCAA tournament paired games.

If we go 1-A, it won't be to play them chicken teams.

I must have some Texas blood in me; uggghhhh

I care about only one sport -- COLLEGE FOOTBALL, football, foooootbaaaallll

I follow the Pack like a good Cheesehead, but I love stAte football and Badger football in that order. stAte always first; we win the football SBC title this year -- well maybe, well sorta!
