This is killing me. Shane Kemp for MT has tied up the game again. Was 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th when he hits a 2 run bomb. Now he hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 13th to tie it up at 5. Geez, can we close this game out? Lets geaux CAJUNS!!!

Quote:Golden Panthers Drop Heartbreaker, 2-1, to Hilltoppers
Bowling Green, Ky. –A pitcher’s dual between starters Grady Hinchman of Western Kentucky and Derek DeCarlo of Florida International University at Nick Denes Field ended in a tough-luck decision 2-1 on Friday night.
Sophomore Michael Lopez ended the Hilltoppers shutout bid with a solo home run to right field, in the top of the ninth, cutting the WKU lead to 2-1.
The loss snaps a season-high six game winning streak for the Golden Panthers, who fall to 18-17 (3-1 Sun Belt Conference). Western Kentucky posts it second-straight win to improve to 16-14 (2-2 SBC).
Hinchman had a no-hitter through 5 2/3 innings until sophomore Yahmed Yema broke up the no-hitter bid with a two-out, bloop single. The two hits are the fewest by FIU since a two-hit effort against FAU in a 20-0 loss.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Hilltoppers’ Tim Grogan hit a triple to start the bottom of the sixth inning. He came around to score on a Matt Gunning sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead. Western Kentucky added an insurance run with a pinch-hit RBI single from Judd Robertson to take a 2-0 lead.
Hinchman established a season-high, striking out 13 Golden Panther batters to raise his record to 1-3. Kenny Griffin picked up his second save to preserve the win for the Hilltoppers. In the second inning, both Hinchman and DeCarlo pitchers struck out the side. DeCarlo ended the night with a seven strikeout effort, dropping to 2-6 on the season.
