Is there any info other than rank speculation about the possibility of Louisiana-Monroe joining the SBC?

They are already in the Sun Belt in football, but some people are trying to get them to join for a full conference membership.

According to the ever-so reliable poster, ArkStFan, the votes between Sun Belt presidents in selecting La Tech or Louisiana-Monroe are split 50/50, but as long as La Tech's president continues to reject the Sun Belt, La Tech will lose more and more support.

Thanks for the info. I was speaking mainly of basketball. Looks like they might have a reasonable chance of joining.
