Good job.
I believe robbery is a second degree felony and if a weapon is involved it becomes an aggrevated offense, a first degree felony. I see two players charged with robbery. Even if they robbed a car dealership, it wouldn't be classified as a traffic offense.
Two words for you: DRUG TRAFFICING!!!! Even petty theft and robbery aren't as severe as that!! Your player was trafficing OxyContin, an extremely addictive and dangerous drug. A player could have stolen something as simple as a pack of gum, which cannot be determined through the website your guy looked on for hours to find this information. Neither can your weapon claim. I'm not saying anyone's program is dirtier. Sure all programs have players who get into some trouble with the law. Traffic violations, underage drinking, it is to be expected from college students. Drug trafficing, however, is something that you don't see everyday from a college football player. There isn't anything typical or normal about it. Shame on you for brushing it off as being non-severe. That's not even rivalry talking, just plain common sense.

Rivalry or not there is no reason to make this personal. Childish behavior like this is how things begin to get out of hand.

Flipper, why did you feel the need to use this discussion to make a personal attack ? Seriously, I'd like you to answer right here.

-Dan
Are you serious? The Rectal Ranger takes the time to dig into the lives of a bunch of college kids so he can make the felonious act of a Toledo football player seem less severe and you're asking me why I'm getting personal?

I'm sorry, but this little project says so much more about Rectal Ranger than it does about BGSU...
Can't you friggin' read? It wasn't to take away from anything that has happened at Toledo. It was to show some of the BG fans, like you, that were saying your program was clean and wouldn't shut up about any issues are program has......that your program has issues to.

The point is never going to be understood by some of your BG fans. Your point makes no sense because you didn't include some of the other stuff like robbery and assault.

If all of the stupid BG fans, the few cool ones can stay, went back to your ay-ziggy-stupid hole and left us alone over here; we would leave you guys alone too.

I didn't do or say anything to defend Mr. Gamby. In fact, if you read any of my posts you'll see that I unequivocally supported Coach Amstutz's decision to remove him from the football team. I believe what Mr. Gamby allegedly did is quite severe, and is not in character with the kind of individual I want representing the University of Toledo football team. I don't recall a single Toledo Rocket who has defended Mr. Gamby's actions.

You Mr. Flipper cannot even be described as a hypocrite. Rather you, and some of the other less rational BG fans, are best described as "Tautological Rationalizers". You are not hypocrites because your beliefs and perceptions of reality conform to support your own desires and imperfections (e.g., traffic violations, underage drinking, casual drug use, fleeing the scene are all actions to be expected from college students, etc.). In other words, your beliefs and perceptions of reality are rationalizations for your own actions, and are without objectivity.

I didn't dig into anyone's lives, rather everything I posted is in the public domain. As some of the more rational BG fans have pointed out, the BG program is not without it's own share of "dirty laundry". That was exactly the intent of my post. Nothing more, nothing less.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." (in this case that would appear to be Factman and a few others).

You can rationalize your little project any way you like, but the fact of the matter is, you took the time to pull up our roster and person by person, name by name, enter that roster into a county databse just because your little feelings were hurt over the attention that the felonious actions drew.

Any way you cut it, that's a pathetic, juvenile and incredibly petty thing to do. I thought Odball represented the low water mark for rockette fans, but apparently I was wrong about that.

I am just going to say this both programs have students that have made mistakes in their football program. That being said I think both programs in comparison to programs like OSU, Miami of Florida, and Florida are very clean. We all must remember that these are young man and some of them grew up in households that are not the best. That being said the schools should make it known to the students that any mistake they make will come back at the program. I personally believe that UT being closer to a major media market will get more publicity for any problem they have. However, I am not saying the Sentinel will not point out problems BG football players make. In fact, I think the Sentinel does a fine job doing that. However, the problem is that outside of BG and Wood County no one reads the Sentinel and for that reason it is less likely that the major media sources in Toledo will pick up on that story because it is already being covered locally. As a Toledo fan I knew that some of our players have made mistakes and I see that some of you BG fans agree your program has made mistakes but still lets all try and be rational.

Yes, I'm totally serious. All RangerRocket did was post information that was freely available to the public. That is no different than telling people about what you read a newspaper. (with the exception of having to actually pay for the newspaper) It is no different than factman starting a thread in MACbbs telling about Gamby. Your exaggerations make it sound like Ranger's a private investigator following them in secret.

Yes I'm asking why *you* are getting personal about this. I didn't see you leap to the defense when factman posted something about a college football player's personal life.

You came soooo close to the giving apology you owe RangerRocket in your post. Now go on and try it for real this time.

Can we please stop adding the phrase "Dirty Program" to everything here and trying to rationalize whether BG or UT is?

I think most would agree this phrase describes programs with illegal recruiting activities and problems with boosters, etc. (See OSU) for which the NCAA gets involved.

What players do outside of the football program in the community have nothing directly to do with on-field issues that are effected directly by "Dirty Programs." They only reflect on the type of player that was recruited...and no one can truly know the exact character make-up of a kid in high school and how they will react when thrown into the campus scene. You throw a dart and hope you get a fine individual. Certainly most kids attending St. Francis High School would never be expected to get involved in what Mr. Gamby allegedly ended up being involved in.

And on a side note...I will be the first to admit that I am hung like a baby boy...

I don't owe anyone an apology. If you people are so morally bankrupt that you can't recognoze that a line has been crossed here by Rectal Ranger, there's little hope for a rational discussion on this topic.

How typicaal of you Oddy, you don't actually address anything I've said, you simply resort to the type of lame personal attacks I've come to expect from you. Why is it that your intellectual growth stopped at the third grade? Did someone drop a heavy object on your head? Did you eat too many lead paint chips? Were you not given enough oxygen at birth?

You are the last person who is able to lead the charge for "rational discussion" on this topic since it was you who decided to make personal attacks. Just examine how childish you are acting in that very post.

Calling someone "Rectal Ranger" in the pathetic hope that it will hurt his feelings shows your true intent on this board. I doubt you are even capable of rational discussion.
