The UNCW teams of the last 3 years were an outlier. There's never been a successful team in this league that didn't find ways to get stops. Even VCU, with their pressing/trapping style, still got stops.

We beat teams the last several years because we overwhelmed them with length and athleticism. We got deflections, turnovers and wins no ordinary CAA team would get.

We seem to write off the last three years as an outlier a lot..... A coach having success right away, a style working...

And maybe Keatts knew it also and jumped ship the first time a Power 5 program came calling. Just saying.

He was here for 3 years, he did not build a program here.

And you believe we'd have the same record if we had this exact same roster with Keatts as coach?

Only 4 scholarship players on this current roster have even played in an actual game with Keatts as a coach. So it is hard to tell. We might have 1 or 2 more conference wins. We would have played an easier non conference schedule with Keatts, so that might give us another 2 wins.

But the reality is this team is learning a new system with a new staff.
