That would be a mess and would devalue the season considerably Literally nobody is making an arguments for teams ranked in the teens.

Count me as someone who would love a 16-team playoff.

The idea it de-values the regular season is crap. I-AA had a 16-team format for many years and the regular-season was awesome.

The NFL has more than a third of their teams make the playoff and the regular-season is still great.

The main reason the regular seasons in basketball and baseball are lame is because they play a bajillion games.

Bingo. The attempts to discredit the system used by EVERY OTHER SPORT to crown a champion are laughable. I mean, the NCAA tournament and the CWS are SOOOOOO boring.
