That court is weird. Playing on that court is completely disorienting with the raised floor but there is much more perimeter room off the court than it appears. Safety is no issue but a very big home court advantage given it's dynamics. Nonetheless, I'd love to play Vandy every year home & home in BB. It would become a real rivalry game over time. And add FB too, much better than UT-Martin, SEMO, MoSt, AP etc. Agree Vandy has no motivation to play us except they already have their ticket punched, so why not?
I dunno. I've seen our guys fly over the first row and land in the stands.
Vandy's court might not support a serious flyer
In that arena, DJ could have launched to about the tenth row. We all saw him jump over another player from head to foot, and we saw him start to fly so he wouldn't land on a child when he ran out of bounds one time.
At Vandy, unlike FedEx Forum & most arenas, the court boundary is 20ft or more from the edge of the floor surface while FedEx Forum is about 5 ft. from the 1st row of seats. That difference would keep even DJ on the floor at Vandy.
