RE: Interesting polling data from Arkansas
We probably underestimate UAF's influence in much the same way you discount LSU's. Both have legislative and media influence that is wildly dispropotionate to their value to their respective states, both in athletics and academics.

If you want to celebrate the results as something earth shattering, by all means celebrate! There was no need for several of you to come off as thin skinned blowhards! But hey, we know Cajun fans aren’t the only ones that **** a stone when they get upset! Level headed? What a load of BS!
I think it is more that you aren't really able to grasp what it is that multiple A-State posters have said about the poll and how it relates to the situation in Arkansas.
It is an important poll because of how different the results are from the line UA and the state's media puts out. UA fans would swear that our share of the state would be 1% or less. Many would believe that their share is about 99%. Many A-State fans 9would also believe that because that is what Razorback fans insist is true.
This poll, and Silver's estimate, are two actual data points that both agree that this is not true and that somewhere around 1 in 10 Arkansans identifies with A-State and that UA fandom may be a mile wide, but is about an inch deep.
If you can't understand why finally having some sort of actual data to counteract the BS party-line we endure, then I cannot help you understand because apparently you aren't capable of stepping into someone else's shoe's for a moment.
If frustration about your obtuseness comes off as being thin-skinned....well, I can't help you figure that out either.
