Take this poll 2011 after a 11-2 football season or after a 25+ win basketball season along with a sweet 16 and there's no doubt the Ark numbers goes up. That's going to happen in most states. The question then becomes where do those fans come from, the fans that answered none of the above, the fans from the smaller schools, or will ASU take the biggest hit since they are the only other D1 school in the state. It will probably be across the board with each losing 1 to 2 % with ASU probably taking at least a 2% drop and maybe 2.5 because they have the second highest numbers and the only other FBS football school.

If this was a poll in KY did after the basketball season uk's numbers would be up...if it was last year UofL's numbers would increase....

we all have a large % of fans that wants to follow a winner

I think we can all agree on that. I know we have a lot of marginal fans who gravitated toward the evil empire when UL football and basketball were both down. Many of those are leaning more toward the Cajuns the last couple of years. The idea is to sustain success for an extended period [10 years or more] to cultivate a larger diehard base.
