Isn't that pretty standard? He hasn't proven he is a good head coach. Not saying he won't be, but he hasn't done anything yet. There are lots of great coordinators that have bombed after moving to a head coach position.

Thing is, they ranked him ahead of Paul Petrino, but behind Todd Berry and Dennis Franchione. That's what made no sense. Berry, Franchione, and Trent Miles have proven little as a head coach, yet they were ranked ahead of him.

Just seemed rather arbitrary.

In Miles' defense, he has turned around 1 team in his career. But then he walked into a dumpster fire at gstate though.

Did y'all see Ga State in 2012. I'm talking about a team that went 1-11 versus FCS competition. And that 1-11 record was masking some epic beatdowns.

Georgia State this year was competitive in 4 games. Including 2 on the road. Against FBS competition. And Georgia State was really starting at less than FBS Year one because of the timing of their moveup. Last year's team had no FBS recruited players. USA had it much easier in that they knew in 2009 that they were going FBS and when that would happen. It makes it much easier to recruit.

If I'm Georgia State, I'm happy with the coach. Probably happier with Miles than App should be with what happened to them last year.

Couldn't agree more. While I can't speak for panther nation I for one am very happy with miles and I do have faith that he is a guy that can get us on the right track. The farewell coach curry tour was the worst. A lot of guys point out we went winless last year, but that year featured a lt of games that we simply were not even close in most long over by halftime. With the exception of the money games that was not the case this past year. I think miles will continue on this path. We still have issues with our depth chart but we should be able to sneak a couple games out and that will be a success in my opinion.
