I knew we had to get out when during one of our National Semifinals, with a full stadium (the only one) against Richmond and ESPN interviews the Heisman trophy candidates during the game while Armanti Edwards is having an all-time great performance. So while AE was going for long runs, the announcers were asking the Hawaii QB about the time he went to Disney when he was five years old. I was at the game and was so pumped from it, then I watched my VHS recording of it and couldn't finish it because I was so deflated due to that.

I remember our first home playoff game, I'm pumped, we've had good crowds the year and I'm thinking sellout and I arrive 2/3rds the crowd had called it a season the week before.

When I was an active "I-A Football Now" campaigner I encountered two objections repeatedly.

1. Look at the average attendance we won't be able to average the required 17,000.
I would then point out that if you excluded playoff games from the average we were very close to 17,000 despite having less than 19,000 seats.

2. I-AA is a better fit, it gives us a chance to be successful and compete for a championship.
I would point out the attendance for playoff games and say obviously being successful is important but our fans don't care about that championship.
