I can't say for sure, because a lot of the financial issues were to be somewhat mitigated by having ECU (closer even than JMU) as a travel partner.
However, I believe that our administration and BOT are forward thinking enough have strongly considered it.
Additionally, we have been an SBC member in the past.
Hehe I am old enough to remember it, and I enjoyed our time here.

Without any inside knowledge whatsoever, I would have to guess that we would have.
