Man, I remember being a young and impressionable kid, and being taken to an LSU home football game. I saw an entire row of people throw their plastic drink cups (filled) at the opposing cheerleaders after the opposing team scored a touchdown (not the student section).

The last time I went to Cajun Field (2011) the students in the front row dumped beer on the band as they were walking back from halftime. Like father, like son, I guess.

If your band members were talking trash like your football players, I can understand why drunk students would go that far. I don't like it, but trash talking seems to escalate things on and off the field.
