Just saw yesterday that you dismissed your leading rusher. What did he do? You have lost your leading rusher, replaced a pretty good HC, and have academic issues with men's basketball. What is your AD doing?

I believe that the RB was dismissed following a felony charge for discharging a weapon on school property. I think there is a thread on the Smack board about it.

I wonder if it was sent to smack because t was started by an FAU fan? If so, it makes me wonder why all of those threads about FAU's administration falling apart, GEO Group, Jesus Stomp, Saunders "running over" a student, etc... Were kept on the main board for so long...... Esp when this FIU story actually has to do with the football team.

BTW, replacing Cristobal wasn't a terrible decision, when all you can do is go 3-9 after 95% of your team is returning, you have a huge problem. However, hiring Ron Turner was a huge mistake, you don't get rid of Cristobal for Ron Turner. This is going to be a 5 year project. 2 years to get rid of Turner and our AD and 3 years to get us back on track. Go F I U!

Cristobal got done dirty. I suspect this decision will only look worse as time goes on.

With the basketball post season ban, APR issues, and new trouble with the football team, how has Pete Garcia managed to keep his job. Seems like he should of been first to go.

I hope so. Now that he's gotten us into C-USA, it's time to stabilize the ship with someone who is a little less controversial and can hire good Coaches to get the job done.

I agree with FIUPantherFan about Mario. If Mario lands a job at another C-USA school, so be it and good luck, just as if any MTSU fired coach lands a job at another C-USA school and does great there. A decision was made....which I didn't necessarily supported because of the timing....and we have to go on.

I don't agree, however, with FIUPantherFan's unwillingness to give Coach Turner the benefit of the doubt in terms of football results. He may be proven right, but then again, he may be proven wrong.

I agree with Fanatic here (as usual), not sure why FPF feel's Turner is such a train wreck; he's coached in the Big 10, he's coached Peyton Manning and has been a QB coach in the NFL for many years. We went for the home run with Butch and appeared to only have warning-track power.....so be it, time to move on.

As far as MC is concerned, I love him to death and he's a great man and recruiter, unfortunately he couldn't X and O his way out of a paper bag and when the Great T.Y. Hilton graduated he was exposed [W's over FAU, transitional USA and 120th ranked Akron does not look good with 95% of your two-deep defense returning plus your entire starting offensive line from back-to-back bowl appearance teams].

I feel real bad that Kedrick is so stupid, not much more I can say about that.

Ron Turner won in the Big 10 with Illinois. Maybe FIU shoulda hired Schnellenberger or Coker or Jimmy Johnson.

Rhodes is a good RB, how confident are you guys in his replacement?

As long as Pete Garcia is our AD, our atheltics programs won't move forward but hit rock bottom year after year. We are also expecting more key players to be either suspended or ineligible due to academic issues. Sorry to all CUSA mates. We have not yet played a game yet as CUSA member and we've already brought more negativities than anybody could expect for.
