That might be the deadline for Liberty but a year's notice for 2015 by UMass would be July 1st since they've already transitioned to FBS.

The real drop dead date for getting UMass to come over for 2015 is about March 1st 2015 right before the football schedules for next year are finalized. UMass would only owe the MAC 250k for leaving early so they could potentially pull it off last minute.

This way it gives UMass another 6 months or so to petition for the AAC membership before tucking their tail between their legs for the SBC.
