It is reported that he is leaving for personal reasons back at home. From the way I take it, he won't be playing anywhere next year, but I do not know.

Morris was no surprise. He didn't redshirt like he needed to and couldn't earn any time this season. He struggled learning the system. Has talent, though.

RE: Basketball transfers 2013
Miami will have several more transfers, stay tuned. Allen Roberts and John Harris are the most likely to add to the list, could be more. Drew McGhee is graduating and will be attending Grad school at Kenesaw, so immediately eligible. I think Allen Roberts will also graduate and transfer somewhere else for his last year. John Harris has only been in school for three years, so I expect him to have to sit our a year if he transfers to a D-1 school.

RE: Basketball transfers 2013
Austin Harper has made the rounds from WMU to JUCO to EMU to ?.

I hope he graduates this month and finds a D-II school, as a graduate student, where he can have the type of season he has been seeking.

EMU has three signees/verbals (Ward, Ajayi, and Combs) as well as transfer sitout PG, Mike Talley.

We are pretty sure of TWO new scholarships to give and the staff has been very active in recruiting for those open scholarships.

I'd like to see a transfer big man. I like transfers and so does Murphy (e.g., Bryant, Riley, Harrison, Talley, etc.).

Darius Paul is rumored to be leaving WMU. What a blow if true.

Miami gains a transfer for a change. Blake McLimans (Michigan) is headed to Oxford Ohio to play his final season.

That should certainly cushion the blow of losing McGhee.

RE: Basketball transfers 2013
You can add MAC freshman of the year Darius Paul to the list... he is leaving WMU. He stated it has nothing to do with basketball or the team.... speculation seems to be towards grades. I guess Paul just signed a lease for an apartment days ago and has no idea where he is going yet. He just notified Coach Hawkins of the news today. Hawkins said it came out of nowhere....

Is there an NIU connection at Iowa St.? Isn't that where Jake Anderson went too?

One to keep an eye on, PG Cully Payne of Loyola is going to transfer, says he is visiting WMU in the coming weeks.

Cully Payne who commited to DePaul in 8th grade, went to Iowa his first two years, played at Loyola last year. I think WMU would prefer to get him his last year as he exercises the post graduate playing option. Why be second or third or fourth fiddle?
