Ok I'm going to toss out a pie in the sky notion, but if there was ever an opportuinity for the conferences and the NCAA to make something right, this is it.

I'm not talking about reversing a holding penalty in the first quarter of a game that called back a long run or overturning a close block in the back call.

I'm talking about overturning an obvious officiating blunder that added points on the board, didn't affect the play of the final 2 minutes and should have given us a victory with no time on the clock. If the missed PAT was ruled good or bad, it wouldn't have changed our offense or their defense in playing the final two minutes.

Overtime never should have happened. The word integrity comes to mind and the chancellors, university presidents should get together and make this right.

It won't happen. If MLB won't overturn the safe call in Armando Galarraga's Perfect Game last summer, no outcome of a game will ever be changed.

I don't think there are any rules that would preclude reversing this call.

After our field goal there was :00 on the clock.
So Syracuse couldn't even suggest they would have had a chance to still win in regulation.
Nothing about reversing the call would be inequitable.
The whole world knows it is wrong.
It is headlines on AOL, yahoo!, ESPN. Basically everywhere.
Reverse it.

Just do a search on "Toledo gets screwed".

I can still see that official while talking with the booth, smirking.
Why the smerk and why the ruling.
Coach Beckman's comment when he heard about their admission was I guess we won the game then.
I'm all for making it right and giving us the game.

I dont like the idea of reversing the score. Ill never feel like we truly won the game

I feel as if the Big East should pay to send a Cuse or another Big East member to the Glass Bowl next year for a 1 and done.

I could accept it.

This situation would have been rectified immediately if it would have been a high profile team that was being screwed over...
As it is right now, UT does not have that kind of muscle...
Can you imagine the furious outcry in buckeyeland if this outcome would have been laid on them...

You are right about that, but of course the refs seem to always give the benefit of the doubt to the high profile teams on the initial call (or no call) so they do NOT have to deal with these problems very much.
