Sorry huskie1stdown but Korcek never said that. He questioned whether there were five better offensive players than German, but he then points out that it isn't the first time the MAC voting went this way. You need to re-read the article and realize Korcek either remembers or knows how to do research, something the current media relations staff never incorporates into their poorly written releases. His column was the answer to someone asking if the league's leading scorer ever got left of first team. What so many people on here don't understand is the significance of past history. Previous NIU standouts are just a name to some of you folks because you didn't see them play. When Korcek notes that the NABC district teams were structured differently, that should tell you that guys like Brafdley, Hicks, Dawkins, Rayhorn, Dillon, Lux, etc. earned honors being compared to guys from the Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Marquette, Missouri Valley and so on. Yeah, he was sticking up for German somewhat, but how many people on here believe that NIU gets the short end of the stick from the MAC?
