I'm sure y'all excited about this move and it appears to be a new trend. NC has discussed merging a number of universities. While it does consolidate and stabilize, are there any fears that it will give the perception of GS being a commuter school?

I don’t believe so. I actually think this move was made to decrease the need for commuting between the two schools. We had a lot of joint programs already and a lot of Georgia Southern students already commute from Savannah daily. Armstrong has brand new dorms on their campus now too and students from Florida, SC, and Tennessee have been granted in state tuition if they live on the Savannah campus. Georgia Southern will continue to be a traditional university.
