Thank goodness for bowl season!
I have to say I am really glad that Troy, Georgia State, and App came out on top in their bowl games. The Sun Belt needed it badly. This year was about as bad a non-conference season as I can imagine (the long time SBC fans from Troy, stAte, ULM, and LA can correct me if it was ever worse than this year). App came close against Wake and UMass but in the end did nothing really helpful in non-conference play to help the SBC's reputation. Hats off to Troy for the lone regular season bright spot in non conference play.

I hope that the 1-0 record vs. the MAC and 2-1 record vs. C-USA goes a long way towards salvaging a tough season for the Sun Belt.

Congrats to the bowl winners on outstanding representation of the league this year in bowl season!
