Perhaps do this in a few other sports as well. I believe only 2 or 3 schools have gymnastics in the ACC, they could join the SEC. If any SEC teams pick up LAX, they could join the ACC. These may not help out in Mexico but could be beneficial to our bundled networks stateside.

I also think we should add Men's Soccer. The sport is growing in popularity here as well and a lot of current MLS players come from the ranks of American colleges. It's not a bad way to market yourself to a new audience and would be an inexpensive add as I believe all the SEC schools have Women's teams as it stands.

I'm not sure about the crossover membership you're talking about. It's intriguing, but it could get hairy.

Fun fact, Alabama and Tennessee are actually members of the Big 12 in Women's Rowing. I think Texas sponsors that sport as well. If the 4 TX schools come our way then I hope the conference starts sponsoring it.

The problem with starting men's teams is Title IX. While costs just to start a men's soccer team may not be that expensive, having to fund another women's team as well could be. Mixing the league members could be a way to minimize Title IX issues & others as well. I know that the ACC has gymnastics issues with having so few teams, this could help with that for an example. This would also maximize content & keep all of our programs under our combined roof with no further expense.

The B12 sponsors women's soccer only as well.

The whole Title 9 issue is a pain. But the SEC is deep enough financially that we could simply add men's soccer and then women's crew officially and be done. Do women in the ACC play lacrosse? If you do and we could gain more of a following with women's lacrosse then we could go that route instead of crew.

Do we play Women's Lacrosse? Carolina is the defending NCAA champion. BTW Carolina won both the Men's and Women's ACC Lacrosse championships today.
