Are you kidding?? You don't think using your P5 status to create a gigantic mess by acting like youre going to add programs, and then saying "nope, not going to expand after all".

Maybe I missed something, but what I heard and read was that the Big 12 was exploring expansion, and invited some schools to make presentations. There was never any promise made to any school that they would be invited, nor was there ever a promise that someone would be invited, i.e., that they definitely would expand.

All along, it was well understood that "no expansion" was a viable option.

So I do not believe the Big 12 owes anyone, USF included, an apology.

Exactly.....I do not see where the Big12 lied to anyone.

I'm not mad that they decided not to expand. That was their option. I think it actually helped bring attention to most of the AAC schools that were considered

They say any publicity is good publicity; it made the AAC teams look better than the MWC and Boise State, since they weren't even in consideration and only 2 MWC teams were in contention (versus almost the entire AAC).
