I've always believed the Big12 made a poor huge mistake by inviting 2 very low tiny zero Texas markets in Waco/Baylor and Lubbock/Tech.

Had it been say perhaps UT, A&M, Houston and SMU/Dallas the Big12 would of been so much more appealing for the casual fans and profitable for their tv partners. Heck, even if said Big12 with Houston in it, a&m gone to the sec the Big12 would've been just fine.
