Next season UAB will be able to fill in gaps we find this spring and fall and target some quality guys. Plus, we won't have to fight the "you won't play for a whole season" line.

Do the UAB signees get, in effect, a free year? Meaning does next year not count against the 5 to play 4 timetable? If it doesn't, you could have a number of 6 year players in a couple of years. Be prepared for the excuses for your success being the presence of all those old men on your squad from a couple of fan bases that will remain nameless.

We'll take success whichever way it comes. When I hear excuses, I'll yell scoreboard.

I don't blame you. Your success is good for the conference. Some however will whine about your guys having that extra year.
