RE: SB bball games : Saturday, Jan. 24
I know there's some other good stories in this conference, but what Fox had done with App is a small miracle.

When he took the job, he lost all Capel's recruits and let Devonte Graham go (who had opted to play prep ball instead of go to App State since Capel wouldn't release him). Then he lost three of last year's best players (Toney, Canty, Neal) to grades and a fourth (Hamilton) in December. He had to recruit quickly and got an Ohio prep player (Kinney), a Serbian (Kostic), a Canadian (Babic) and a walk-on PG from Texas (Goesling) with the caveat that they would play this year and not be post-season eligible. Eaves was a back-up last year and quite obviously hated Capel. Spagnolo was found three years ago in the App rec center and had to apply for a 6th year last spring. Clarke played maybe 10 minutes combined last year. And Burgess is a hobbit.
