Charlotte Gets $13 Million Gift From Levine Family
The Levine family founded Family Dollar for those unfamiliar with the name.

The Levine's had previously given us $10 million to start a scholarship program. They basically modeled it after the Morehead Scholarship program at Chapel Hill. It is a tremendous opportunity for those that get it.

It has been huge success so far and this $13 million will ensure that it continues until at least 2024.

The last two years have been great for donations at Charlotte. We have received major gifts totaling more than $37 million since 2012. This doesn't even include smaller donations that don't receive press.
