I think, unfortunately, that's the attitude too much about it all. We're a MAC team who hasn't won a MAC title in decades, who is 5-3 ... after being 1-11 the previous year. Yeah, I really think MSU is even remotely thinking "OMG, we got to get out of our 2-1 contract with WMU! They're going to row the boat on us!" Even any shred of related thought is Laughable. Nor are they going to go in the opposite direction "OMG, we need something tougher! Where's Oklahoma?!" when they have to play UM, Ohio State, and Nebraska Away next year, while playing Oregon again + ditching a D1AA team + super-gimmie bad team like EMU -- and playing 3 competitive Mid-Majors instead (CMU, @WMU, Air Force).

It's about as silly as Fleck leaving at the end of the year, going 7-5 (or even 8-4) because he wins a bowl on top. Not going to happen. :)
