Hypothetically if there is one less eligible teams than there are spots so it goes down to an FCS transitional. We could be competing for that spot with Old Dominion. Which commissioner is more likely to support the crap out of their team.

Here's the simple truth: It's not about YOU. He should be pimping EVERYONE as much as possible.

"Hey, did you see the attendance at Cajun Field last week?"
"How about that ULM stomping on P5 Wake?"
"Georgia Southern is really turning some heads! Have you seen them racking up wins?"
"Looks like stAte is getting on a roll and could garner some national attention!"
"Have you seen how nice Bobcat Stadium looks down at Texas State?"

At this point in time, he should be mentioning every potentially bowl eligible team to anyone who will listen. When it looks like there won't be enough bowl teams, he should be screaming Georgia Southern from the tops of mountains to make sure everyone hears about it.
