It is believed they DO want to go FBS, but need another year or two. Moving their basketball wasn't that appealing to them for a long time (can you blame them?), but it is also believed they are becoming more and more disenchanted with the MVC. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but MSU appears to be making the moves behind the scenes for an FBS move, and have had a lot of contact with ASU.
