Liberty is begging to get into FBS, not the Sun Belt. Big difference. I'll be a happy member and supporter of the Sun Belt if Liberty joins but don't mistake Liberty's FBS aspirations as a Sun-Belt-or-nothing stance.

So why would these schools leave their established conferences that they choose to be in and join the Sun Belt Jr.? Would the Sun Belt not invite someone like Eastern Kentucky in the future if they said no to the Sun Belt and the FCS league they tried to sponsor?

wow...are you serious? This was clearly tongue and cheek. You liberty folks need to wind down. Are you mad because Liberty was not on my list? Please add Liberty if it will make you feel better.

Why would I want Liberty to leave its current conference to start a new conference with membership that will always be unstable and fluctuating? Why would any school want to join that? Would you not add a school like EKU to the Sun Belt if they weren't already in your developmental league? What kind of message would that send to your developmental league if you invited EKU if they weren't already in the league? What would keep your developmental league members from accepting invitations to CUSA, MWC or any other conferences?
