I suspect what has happened is that the CUSA expansion scenario played out like I was told it did. ODU wasn't in the serious hunt until the eastern bloc balked at UTSA and La.Tech. ODU didn't have a fully developed plan and didn't have approval to pursue FBS and now has to get something together to figure out the cost of the move, the differences in travel and the viability of future scheduling and a facilities plan.

CUSA I believe fully expects they can get the paperwork done and approved or else they would have moved on. Remember we are dealing with Virginia politics (VT wasn't supposed to be in the ACC) so it could fall apart, but I suspect that is unlikely.

From what I have been told they didn't even start having discussions with C-USA until 2 weeks ago, so they haven't been preparing for this nearly as long as the other schools, who I believe have known they were coming for quite a while now. There's still nearly a month to get the details worked out, and like you I fully believe we wouldn't be waiting if we didn't believe they could figure it out by then.
