While I'm terribly dissapointed in our 5-7 year, it probably represents a better than average year given the losses we had to replace. That being said, it is on Coach JJ that we had so many starters to replace. His seat will start to get warm if we don't bowl next year.
I'm right there withya
Says the guys who got in a Bowl over a team with a better record.
Stop whining. You've had football 7 years.
Most schools expect their teams to make a bowl every year now. Just because Texas State's top priority is that they produce great academic results off the field, doesn't mean the rest of us share that goal.
That's on the admin, it's not what the fans accept. We seem to know that these are not mutually exclusive concepts but the leadership doesn't. We're pissed. We're tired and we're worn down. How can you expect us not to be? Getting snubbed 2 years in a row doesn't take away their paycheck and they just go back about their business of indifference. The donors/fans see it differently. So, yeah, the snubs are a sore reminder.

Coastal Carolina bowl eligibility
Why is this thread a thing? Isn't Coastal 2 years away from even being able to go to a bowl IF eligible or did I miss something?
Just FYI, I like the addition, not a Coastal hater, just seems like an even sillier thread than most (at least in December 2015).

You never know that there will be enough teams that will have 6 wins next year. If they get more than 6 and the NCAA is short, they could get a bowl shot.

Next year is their FCS transition year. No playoffs, no bowls. If I remember the original intent of the thread was a Coastal fan wondering out loud what we thought their chances would be come 2018.

you may be on to something. a couple of conferences have said they will only play p5 teams, so looks like there may be a lot of "name" schools struggling to get 6 wins.
