Tardy indeed.
Tulsa with a new coach and tougher competition will not be ahead of Cincy and Memphis.

Also someone tell me who is the 2nd CUSA team he has listed? I've looked up and down the list and all I see is #12 seed La Tech. Am I missing someone or he has that wrong.

I think Tulsa is capable of an 11 seed with 7 sophomores in their top 8 returning as long as they don't hire a bum. I wouldn't put them over Cincy or Memphis at this point though.

This stuff is all a crapshoot right now anyway. I wouldn't even think about it. And I don't disagree with UC's position at all... UC is going to count on a lot of 1st year players next year, it will all depend on how quickly they pick up the system. 2 years from now they'll be dangerous, and 3 years may be a top 10 team.

Just guessing here, but possibility that Tulsa was counted for C-USA and for the American. Either way, La. Tech is only C-USA representative I saw on the chart.

I think you'd be surprised how accurate it is. I think the 1st bracketology got like over 2/3 of the at large selections correct.

and probably 2/3rds of them are just about a given. The accuracy of the seed would be a better mark. We are really only talking about the last few and first few out where there is much of a hard choice.

actually this year it was kind of strange. Just looking at the one from Nov 7- the furthest back- 7 of the 1-10 seeds missed the bracket. Notre Dame, Georgetown, Marquette, UNLV, Boise, Indiana, and La Salle. The ones 11 and further back he was 6-3 on- to include Pitt, Providence, San Diego St, and Iowa St.

Luntardy has
#4 seed UConn
#4 seed SMU
#11 seed Tulsa
Cincy first team out
Memphis? No where to be found
1. Way to early to be doing this
2. Lunardi is a big fat idiot

The last at-large basically equate to being judged the #46 or #47 team in the country. If Memphis falls below that line next season (which I really REALLY doubt they will), that would be a significant step backwards for the program.

What's the skinny on Temple? I am hoping they have a good year for the benefit of the conference.

the first few weeks could be iffy with a whole new guard lineup but we should be very tough after the New Year. I hope we can steal a few good OOC wins before that though. Gonna need em.

Seriously, I understand with the new players but who really cares about high school stars after you have seen them played in college and you have college data to judge, some times several years of it and years removed from high school stars.
I agree with you about the NCAA's but for different reasons.
Player Efficiency Ratings
Nick King 21.9
Shaq Godwin 20.9
Austin Nichols 18.1
That's all conference level and that these players were great last year anytime they stepped on the court and for a team that was good and played a tough schedule. It's understandable why some of them played few minutes behind other good players but they should have no problem leading your team with the graduations. A guy like Nick King might have only played 12 minutes a game but he was outstanding in those minutes and should continue to excel playing starter minutes this year. Players productivity usually doesn't regress even if the minutes are extended.
Then you got a player like Kuran Iverson with an 8.8 PER who was clearly at this point an overrated 4 star. That's why you got him on the bench I suspect.

Overrated is strong. He is learning a position(s) that he never played before. He was a point guard in high school and he was learning to play the 3 and 4(only in a pinch). I expected some growing pains this season from him. His athletic talent is undeniable and would be shocked if he doesn't have a big impact his sophomore year.

ECU would do backflips to have Iverson. He was behind because he was getting qualified and arrived last to summer sessions. He will have a full summer to perfect his craft.

I do...It's hard to really judge a player when he sits behind 5 seniors and gets VERY limited playing time.
Im excited to see what these young Tigers can do.
