Who knows where it goes from here. If JMU and Missouri St. accept, we need to get rid of Idaho after this year or at latest next year and you have a good 6-6 split in football east/west.
So many rumors over the last couple of weeks. We'll see what happens. I am still not convinced of this one yet.

Those are from JMU's football beat reporter.

This is starting to grow some legs. I doubt for PR purposes the Sunbelt would offer without knowing the teams would say yes.

Georgia Southern had "no invite" until the press conference. Just saying.

we don't, but the presidents sure seem to want to.
I would not be speaking in absolutes right now unless you are a sun belt president or a significant other to one.

That's Yahoo's college football front page---but that story doesn't exist. If it was there, its been pulled down. I did a search and nothing came up.

Idaho is subject to expulsion at the end of 2015-16. Perfect time for Mo State to come in.

Yeah JMU loves to use that line. I guess they're hoping people won't realize an invitation isn't extended until the conference knows the school will accept.

RE: Reports out of missouri saying JMU and MSU recieved invite
This is starting to all make sense. From what a Ga. Southern athletic official told me today here is what I see happening:
IF JMU and Missouri St. accept all sports invites then
1. Idaho will be expelled after 2 years (after the 2015-16 year). This leaves 12 football playing schools ( 6 east-- Troy, USA, Ga. St, Ga. Southern, JMU and App. St. and 6 west-- NMSU, Louisiana, ULM, Ark. St., Texas St. and Missouri St)
2. NMSU will be brought in as an all sports member. This gives the Belt 14 teams playing olympic sports-- the 12 football -playing schools and UALR and Texas-Arlington)
3. Basketball is strengthened (Benson has repeatedly said he wants Belt basketball improved) with NMSU and Missouri St. being added.
This just all adds up based on what I have been told.
Of course if JMU or Missouri St. reject the invite we are back to square 1.

The above would be awesome.
I can't see why JMU and MSU would not accept the invite. The G5 is more guaranteed football and voting rights. Both schools are helpless in football recruiting going forward without G5 membership.

Fake screen shot where you can add any title you want to mess with your buddies. Good try though.

Dream scenario. I would feel for Idaho. They've been through the wringer and I've enjoyed them as conference mates in the past. Can't say a negative thing about them. Really hope they land on their feet.
