Thanks for the info bearcatfan! I will definitely watch. Like other posters on here, I'm a dad of a girl and I so appreciate Mick's love and dedication to Sammi. That's a real man right there to take the time to comb out his daughter's hair. Been there done that. Great job Mick! I can't say enough of you as a man and as a human being. Great dad. Great role model. 04-cheers

Coach Mick is a good guy and an outstanding father. There was an ESPN article on Mick and Sammi's relationship a few years ago that actually brought tears to my eye. As a father myself, that kind of stuff gets to you.

I DVR'd Mick's interview and was finally able to watch it. I was already impressed with Mick's character and integrity and after viewing his feature I came away even more so. I enjoyed the story of how his mom and dad first met. I didn't realize his dad played on the UC baseball team (1961-63). Hep met Mick's mother after he hit a foul ball and it inadvertently struck his future father-in-law. Hep went to apologize the next day and Mick's mom answered the door (she grew up in a neighborhood adjacent to where the baseball stadium is now) and the rest is history. Lots of other good stuff. Highly recommend watching the repeat episode if you haven't seen it already.

I just watched the DVR this morning as well. Really well done, glad to have this guy representing our school and our city

I liked it. Mick is better with Sammi's hair than I am with my 11 year old daughter's, and my daughter's is less challenging.

I thought it was fantastic. Really makes you look at the rebuild in a different way.

The OP lists the re-airing dates. You've got a few more opportunities.

Yeah, when he was talking about he gets a laugh out of the idea the rebuild was stressful because of pressure from the media, fans, and the university -- he said the real pressure was holding onto his job so he could stay in the same city as his daughter. I think that makes it pretty obvious why he took a chance on Lance Stephenson, as I don't think he would normally take on a player with his character concerns.

What happened to the mother?

Amicable divorce. They work together for the benefit of Sammi. That's not how it typically goes. Sammi gets the best of this situation. Kudos to her parents!

If we could have kept him for a few more years....

will anyone be posting this online? I don’t have DVR and those air times stink.

I had to chuckle at the cameo by Leonte at the 22 second mark....

I don't know how Mick managed to keep Lance and Leonte on the floor together that season with only one basketball....

Watching it now on DVR and my wife is hooked on it and says she gained so much more respect for him. Really great job.

Will it be televised again? The first broadcast of it must have started late so my DVR clipped the ending. What I saw was impressive and I'd like to see it in its entirety.

Yeah mine was cutoff too, but guessing we just missed the last minute. I think it will be on again after hours at some point.
