Not could be, it is. This is easily the best team we've beaten. This win may be a turning point. The guys get an extended period playing at home, only one game out of second place and the students will be back!

Agree 100%. We lost here last year and this game should show our guys they deserve to win.

It's good to celebrate for once but there's a ton of work to do at this point. I did see some positives tonight. Fornes and Taylor looked good out there and they are just sophomores. Both played better on both ends tonight. That's really huge for this program because if they are consistent, UNCW will compete in most games. Talley will get his and Cacok will get his. Estime looked good too tonight and Gary helped out some with both of them being true freshmen.
This team will only go as far as there defense will take them. And, when they got 3 balls from inside out, it made all the difference. Cacok being a willing passer was big. Fornes had a great 1st half but didn't have anything going until Cacok passed it back out for Fornes 3 ball with the Hawks down 6. That was the key play and the defense was better for a good stretch after that.
They need to play inspired ball Saturday and just compete again. The outcome of games occurs from playing the right way. You have to forget about the score and just play ball. That's how it works. If they win or lose, they need to keep playing the right way. That's it. There's enough talent to win some more games in the league if they do that.

Agree Bill. One thing I noticed is we weren't trying to force the ball into Cacok as much. We let our guards create and distribute when we were going strong.

Yep, not forcing the ball was key. If he gets it after a ball reversal, so be it provided that it's a good entry angle. He's going to get attention and that's when that 3 ball is easy money when he kicks it back out. It's about trust and teamwork. They both made each other better.

They just showed about 2-2 1/2 minutes of highlights of this game on Scott Van Pelt’s Bad Beats segment on ESPN. Half a point away from hitting the over but it didn’t hit.

Any publicity is good publicity... Other than that time we got on ESPN for losing to Towson
