Jude is 240+ so he is physical.
Pearson is listed at 6-9, 190. Hard to be physical at that weight.
We have a 6-10, 185 guy and he is not real physical.

I thought Pearson's game was more like William Lee's?

"On the basketball court Tamell is an extremely versatile player whose size and athleticism enable him to affect the game in so many ways on both the offensive and defensive end. Offensively Tamell can score from the outside, off the dribble and inside the paint. On the defensive end, Tamell can guard multiple positions and plays with a great sense of energy and hustle. Tamell's relentless work ethic and desire to be great are two characteristics that I love about him and I know will help him to have a great career as a Blazer."

Sounds good. The bad part is he did not even start as a junior last year.

Good to know. I'll try and ask the question next week.

No idea. I could only find one game he played in this season and he scored 10 points.

He reminds me a bit of a very young Cameron Moore. And Cam didn't play much his first 2 years. Tamell signed with us because he thinks he can slide into Hahas starting spot. Which is a nice aspiration. In the real world, he will be behind Lew, Jude, Gueye and probably whatever juco or 5th year guy we bring in.

================
Pearson, a 6-foot-8 big man, averaged seven points and six rebounds playing with the Mac Irvin Fire on the Nike EYBL circuit. The UAB staff has big aspirations for him once he steps on campus next year.

"Coach [Rob] Ehsan envisions me having a big role as a freshman. I will be coming in after William Lee graduates and should be able to slide into his place," Pearson explained.

Pearson chose the Blazers over scholarship offers from Cleveland State, Missouri State, Murray State, Oklahoma State, and Washington State."

Sid Ball - 6' 5" & 175 on a good day. Played power forward.

When Sid signed with us, he didn't weigh 160. But, by his 5th year, I think he was 190.

Im not totally against a shorter 4 if they can play. But, not playing the pressing style that Anderson did, a taller big is probably better.

Gueye & Pearson are the kind of guys that it takes a few years for them to fill out and be able to be effective down low. Nothing wrong with that at all. But counting on them to be able to be your primary bigs as underclassmen is a concern. I'm sure its not lost on the coaching staff. We clearly need a big that can step in and play big minutes right away. And Im already counting on big minutes from Jude.

We don't need 2 bruisers at a time but we need at least 1 in the game at all times. Sullivan is big enough to be able to bang. We just need him to be able to do it without fouling.

And playing 2 bigs at a time isn't hurting WKU. They play both Johnson and that 5th year guy about 30+ minutes each together. Maybe a little less now that they got their 6-10, 230 guy eligible.

I wouldn't mind a smaller 4 if he is a warrior who isn't afraid to play down low. And of course, he able to shoot from outside. Those guys need to be bouncy. Remember that guy Memphis had that had a ridiculous vertical? DJ Stephens. And I think AU has a guy like that. McLemore.
