UCLA Game Thread - BearcatJerry - 12-04-2017 04:09 PM I know it's early (We have to get through Florida first...) but I saw a development on the UCLA game so I figured I'd throw a thread out there. He wasn't the hottest of the UCLA recruits, but LaVar Ball has withdrawn his son, LiAngelo Ball from UCLA. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaabk/lavar-ball-withdraws-liangelo-ball-from-ucla-without-playing-a-game/ar-BBGe5GD?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp RE: UCLA Game Thread - Bruce Monnin - 12-04-2017 04:55 PM Probably a plus for UCLA. LaVar's Balls is also no longer permitted to be interviewed by NBA media personnel anymore after a recent rules change. The Balls have dropped tremendously in the last week or so. RE: UCLA Game Thread - OKIcat - 12-04-2017 04:58 PM I wonder if his departure is the first shoe to drop and the others accused in China part ways with UCLA in the coming days? Personally, I wouldn't mind UC catching a program of their stature in a down cycle. I'll take a Cincy win over UCLA anytime, anyplace. With LaVar being silenced and LiAngelo being pulled from UCLA, I'm sure the Balls are starting to sweat. RE: UCLA Game Thread - CliftonAve - 12-05-2017 10:14 AM Have to think the younger Ball won't be headed to UCLA two years from now either (apparently Lavar pulled him out of high school for home schooling as well). He's supposed to be the best of the three kids. RE: UCLA Game Thread - jarr - 12-05-2017 10:22 AM Lavar is a serious sociopath, feel bad for his kids having to deal with his a**. Liangelo is no Lonzo, and would be better off on the other side of the country away from Lavar. I came here just to say how tremendous this comment is. Have a nice day! RE: UCLA Game Thread - geef - 12-06-2017 05:02 PM Today's UCLA game vs. Montana was canceled due to the fires. They play at Michigan Saturday, then have another week off before our tilt. RE: UCLA Game Thread - Bearcats#1 - 12-06-2017 05:44 PM UC by 25 RE: UCLA Game Thread - jarr - 12-06-2017 07:54 PM Not about to write this off as a win, especially since we'll be on the the road and 3 time zones away. UCLA still has alot of talent, especially on the offensive end, they are also much bigger than us and I don't really see anybody that's going to be able to defend Welsh. I think it will end up a pretty tight game. RE: UCLA Game Thread - Teakwood - 12-07-2017 08:41 AM I vividly remember a talented yet underachieving UCLA team crush my dreams on a cold, grey day in Pittsburgh. There was a little kid sitting in front of me wearing a Logan jersey, but rooting for the upset...still can't wrap my head around that one, and I still hate Jason Kapono. I remain optimistic by nature, but I guess that is why the important losses hurt a little more. RE: UCLA Game Thread - UCGrad1992 - 12-14-2017 02:56 PM There is a game on Saturday and it provides another opportunity to improve and get a win against a quality opponent. Not to mention, a chance to take down the team that ended our season in the tourney.
