Some early observations:

- How does Roback get the nod over Morris for 3rd team? He threw fewer TDs, more INTs, fewer passing yards, worse rating, fewer rush TDs, worse team record.
- Huntley is 1 of 3 RBs to rush for 1,000 yards and doesn't even get on the 3rd team?
- Papi White is 2nd team but Cody Thompson is nowhere to be found? Both were injured but Thompson has better numbers in fewer games.

Impressive list. But you have to wonder, the Zips won the MAC East, but only have four players represented, while OU, who finished second in the MAC East have 12. Something is askew with the way the teams were determined.

I would assume there was some sort of criteria for minimum games played for Cody to not show up on the list. He only play 4.01 less than half the season and all against non-conference opponents except the first series in the EMU game in which he was injured. If you extrapolated out his stats, he would have lead the league.

I agree but that is kinda my point, where was the line drawn? Conklin from CMU was far and away the top TE in the league, but he missed 5 games and they put him 3rd team. He was on pace for 700+ yards and 8 TDs. Maybe they views Thompson as playing too few. These awards are always kinda funky though.

Agreed. I thought Ian Eriksen had more of a claim for 3rd team All MAC than Roback did. Put up very solid numbers, especially in MAC play, behind an OL that struggled with run blocking most of the season. Tons of good RB's in this conference, though.

In my earlier post I noted how I thought it was surprising Huntley didn't get at least 3rd team. He was 1 of 3 RBs to gain 1000 yards.

Something was askew with the OU performance against the Zips.....
