It doesn't matter, the people here who don't grasp that they're nothing but useful idiots for the dispersal of fake news will continue to spread it.

Give it up bizz, that story has fallen apart.

RE: The Roy Moore divorce lie. - solohawks - 11-17-2017 11:18 AM

The article posted confirms there was legal contact. Minimal but there was legal contact.

RE: The Roy Moore divorce lie. - Jugnaut - 11-17-2017 11:27 AM

I'm not sure I trust "think progress" to accurately report or interpret what a judicial file contains and what contact can be adduced from those documents. Basically, I would want to see the underlying documents either way. That said, I'm in the camp that thinks he probably has engaged in some misconduct.

Sure, that's not disingenuous at all.

Weren't the documents included in the article?

Only a couple from the two different cases. Normally there are a great deal more documents in a legal file. Additionally, it is possible they would have had contact at the courthouse even without a formal hearing, especially in rural counties. Maybe the article is correct, but I suspect It's not as cut and dry as either side is claiming. Being an attorney, I would want to thoroughly review the legal file before making a decision either way. I'm also highly skeptical that a reporter or non - lawyer could actually tell what transpired. I hope they had attorneys review the documents if they are claiming moore lied.

Unfortunately, by its nature, reporting requires the reader to trust the journalist to accurately analyze and report information. In today's world, it's clear to me that pretty much all reporters are biased and not overly truthful in their reporting. It's why I'm a skeptic on most things.

does it bring you some sort of weird sexual satisfaction to be a shameless hypocrite? because you do it constantly. I mean, more than just a normal hypocritical person. it's unnatural. it's like it gets you off.

I've noticed that you ask me to explain things to you a lot.

Are you this high-maintenance in real life, or are you only hopelessly needy in internet forums?

That's an odd criticism seeing as how I'm only asking you to back up your statements that you make.

Weak debate form when used when unable to form a legitimate retort. Very useful in socratic reasoning but often misused to hide inconsistent positions or when one lacks creative thought.

Ignore the interrogatory form and restate point. You've won the debate so don't be led down a path of foolishness questions.

Easy.

it wasn't a criticism. it was an observation and a question. and you pretty well answered the question for me.

The DA after the name in the yearbook is the smoking gun. All this other stuff is irrelevant.

The yearbook is forged. If that's true, the witness is discredited.

Forget her. She is a liar. Surely one of the other accusers has a yearbook.

I think you may be giving him too much credit. I see two possibilities; he thinks he's the perry mason of the innerwebz, or he's genuinely confused a lot. Or maybe he's just really lazy.

either way, running around al gore's internet demanding that everyone explain things to them is so . . . 1990s. Pre-Google. Before the accumulated affects of decades of social media, the 24 hour instant news cycle, and a nearly unimaginable amount of news/fact data aggregation.

ultimately, he's an anachronism. and I'll bank he's mightily young for time to have passed him by.

Someone pointed out that the woman does not have to be present in court for divorce hearings. If that is the case? Roy Moore is victim blaming and people would eat it up. Face it, Roy Moore and his wife is pulling the Clintons right now. They are victim blaming.

Calling me "high-maintenance" and "hopelessly needy" is a criticism. But again, you're ignoring the simple request to provide an example of me being hypocritical in this thread.

You're up to two lies now, that I'm being hypocritical in the thread and that those criticisms weren't criticisms. I don't expect you'll admit you're wrong, but if you do I'll gladly admit I was wrong in that assertion!

I've been through a divorce. I've had two judges and two different referees handle hearing and sign rulings. You better believe I knew exactly who the judge was each time.

If this women didnt, then she is dumb enough to make up a story about Moore.

RE: The Roy Moore divorce lie. - HeartOfDixie - 11-19-2017 10:45 PM

This is an outright lie.

The judge is clearly listed on the file on Alacourt.

Moore > Jones
