Catching the Big12 - fanhood - 10-29-2017 10:51 PM

Last season and during the off-season there was a lot of talk about the AAC catching the Big 12. Houston beat Oklahoma, they AAC had more players drafted than the Big 12 did, and at one point, and a similar number of ranked teams.

However, this year, the AAC went 0-5 against the Big 12, with only Houston losing a close game to Texas Tech.

What does the American need to do both on and off field to regain the initiative? Or, is the disparity in TV revenue, attendance, viewership, facilities, salaries, and talent to much to overcome?

I think a good strategy for the AAC is to continue separating ourselves from the CUSA/MAC/MWC/SBC through play, attendance, tv ratings and quality coaches to the point where the "P5" can see adding the pesky AAC to the "P6" club will solve their problems, add value all while taking on no risk that any other conferences can legitimately say they should be included based on merit.

So far we have done a great job.

I think a good strategy would be to ban fanhood from here.

just stop it.. i wished you were more real.. you like to throw your wishful thinking, and insult as genuine facts or rational opinion ...but it comes off so fake

id rather you say i dont think tulsa will beat toledo and unm, but i hope they beat navy to help sdsu case for a new years 6..than what you do. you say tulsa has zero percent chance to beat either unm or toledo, you have long debates that they aren't good (tulsa winning either was bad for sdsu), a weak later after 1-3 ooc record, tulsa has a legitimate chance to beat navy, and win the AAC west, you try to argue they are quality (tulsa winning the aac with a 1-3 record is a dream for sdsu)....
its so disingenuous

if you want something to happen, say you want something to happen or you are rooting for it, despite the probability. stop pretending everything that benefits sdsu is logical and likely thing to happen

what does head to head to do with catching the big 12? like at all? beating their #1 team is one thing (you can argue you can produce top teams like them) small sample head to head proves what?..

Maybe you should try quality over quantity.

Your quantity sucks.

Fanhood has a inferiority complex with P6 Football.

He continually attempts to belittle the AAC in an effort to make the gap between MWC and AAC seem less drastic. He hasn't been able to admit the reality that the MWC is becoming closer to C-USA while the AAC is becoming closer to the B12. Once you start viewing all his posts with the understanding he is just a desperate fan clinging to hope his conference (and team) is relevant, you actually begin to pity him.
