App State at Idaho - T-Dog - 10-13-2017 05:33 PM
Two of the Sun Belt veteran QBs will duel for the final time at the Kibbie Dome on Saturday.
The highlighted matchup will be Lineham versus Duck. Last year, Duck got two picks, including a pick six.
App State got its run game sort-of going last week with some monster runs, but struggled with the intermediate runs.
Duckworth averages 6.0 yards a carry and will need to do that to keep the App defense on the field. Just as important, can the Vandals finish in the red zone?

If your defensive line is good we're going to struggle, because I already know about your CBs.
Idaho's offensive line has pretty much been a worst-case scenario this year and Linehan's rapport with this crop of receivers has not been as good as last year, so our offense overall has taken a step back.
Defensively, we should be fine.

The biggest concern for me as an App fan right now is the penalties. I don't know the ranking off the top of my head, but I read where App was one of the most penalized teams in the country. Two weeks in a row we had an offsides penalty on Punt Return that gave a 1st down to the opponent(cost us vs Wake). Targeting penalty that got our senior leader ejected and numerous others that have stalled drives. If App can get these cleaned up, I have confidence they'll win out. If not, someone is going to upset them and it could be Idaho ...
