Our P5 game is Missouri this year. If Missouri State can hang with them, so can we. Their defense looks atrocious.

Maryland 51 Texas 34 Texas fans have completely lost the plot and are throwing things on the field. AState's OC from that 2015 team is doing well at Maryland.

Missouri 72 Missouri State 43. Just LOL at both defenses.

Cal up 35-24 on UNC in the final seconds. App fans will be pleased.

Not a good showing for the G5 today thus far. Looking more like the FCS FBS divide.

ECU is losing to James Madison. Showing off their P6 pedigree for the world.

We play UNLV next week, and they're losing to Howard at halftime. But we play Western Michigan in 2 weeks and they looked strong against USC. But but, we play Missouri later this year, and they looked like they couldn't stop an 8th grade team. So all in all, pretty good I guess?

LU beat Baylor.

Missouri State is probably more of a 10th grade team than 8th grade, but your point stands.

Seriously? Good Grief.

Howard was a 45.5 point underdog. It was the biggest spread upset in college football history.

Hopefully UNLV won't improve too much over the next two years. A trip to Vegas and a win sounds nice in '19.

Idaho has a good chance to win all 4 non-conference games.

Winner: The Biggest Upset Ever

If you were expecting a major AP poll shocker on par with unranked Wisconsin knocking off No. 5 LSU in last year's opening week, you were sorely disappointed. No. 23 Texas losing to Maryland was as crazy as it got, and that result was immediately met with a ton of pundits questioning why the Longhorns were ranked in the first place.

But if you ignored the rankings and just looked at the spreads in Vegas, it was one of the craziest weeks ever. In addition to Liberty's aforementioned outright win as a five-TD dog, Howard defeated UNLV in what Pregame CEO RJ Bell declared the biggest upset in college football history.

UNLV hasn't been stellar lately, posting an overall record of 22-66 dating back to 2010. But Howard has been even worse, going 3-19 as an FCS team over the last two years. The spread may seem a bit excessive given UNLV's struggles, but all signs pointed to this being a UNLV blowout.

OddsShark had Howard as a 45.5-point underdog, but Cam Newton's little brother didn't care one bit. Caylin Newton had 330 combined passing and rushing yards with three touchdowns in leading the Bison to a 43-40 win over the Rebels.

Again using Bell as a reference, he tweeted a graphic earlier in the evening showing Stanford (+39 against USC in 2007) as the biggest upset winner since 1980. UNLV beat that record by almost an entire touchdown. Remember that when someone tries to complain that it was a boring, predictable start to the season.

Those two words can never be used to describe this game.
