Trump Criticizes GOP Senators - solohawks - 07-18-2017 11:25 AM

When was the last time a sitting President publically and directly criticized members of his own party for failing to pass legislation?

Its nice to see a President not bound by the party line.

Good. They are terrible.

RE: Trump Criticizes GOP Senators - cb4029 - 07-18-2017 11:33 AM

He's just mad he doesn't get to throw another victory party to celebrate a mean piece of bad legislation.

Oooh... legislation that's mean.

Maybe we should make it sit in the corner.

Wasn't trump supposedly this great deal maker?

Yep.

He might have dealt with the Democrats if they hadn't pulled the Russia crap. I think they made a mistake there.

Yeah, I think that's how he made hundreds of millions of dollars.

As opposed to Dem and GOP establishment politicians who made their fortunes by being elected to federal office.

Pence is after them now too. Good. Bring on the repeal bill and get it passed.

So the democrats held meetings with Russians and didn't report them on their disclosures? Taking at least one of them with the belief that a foreign enemy had intel to use against their opponent?

I'm confused. 03-wink

Sometimes deals require negative action. Criticizing Republican Senators for failing to do what they were elected to do is a logical step. Nobody likes Congress right now. What do you think will happen if Trump stirs the pot and riles up his base against the sitting GOP Senators?

I'd make the GOP Senators a little promise if I were Trump. I would promise them that unless they get on board and start following through on their campaign promises, I would make sure I tweeted every day about term limits and make that a major party of the campaign in 2020.

It's time to turn up the heat on the establishment in DC.

And this is proof positive of what I've said all along, you can't run a country or a government like a business. Will donny ever figure that out? Doubtful.

But that only works when you're running for election as an outsider. All this will accomplish now is put democrats in power.

Trump's base is more likely to vote out sitting GOP establishment in primaries and elect their challenger than just vote in a democrat. In some cases I wouldn't particularly care if a dem were elected though. Some of those ******** up there (R and D) need to go.

Perhaps...but what's more likely is that the incumbent will be primaried and provide a possible advantage to the D challenger.

LOL... we haven't been able to run the country with elected leaders on the take.

Trump is a breath of fresh air compared to the slimy corrupt filth we've been putting in office election after election.

He's certainly a breath of air...the level of freshness is open for conjecture though!

Exactly. Trump doesn't succeed by getting Republican's elected, Trump succeeds by getting crummy politicians out of office.
