It'll be interesting when the basketball surveys become public. For me, Nevada football rivals are different than basketball ones. I even consider nmsu a rival still. I think a utep/nmsu road swing would be a good one.

I picked ......Fresno based on regional geography, GCU due to WAC and previous DII history (current WAC history for GCU) both at 20%. Then I picked some WAC schools at 10% each; SU, NMSU and UVU, and finally a few BW schools, who we have played fairly often during DI years, 10% each; CSUN, Fullerton and UCSB.
I guess i could have thrown Davis, UCR and Poly in due to DII history, but...we havent really played them a lot in basketball in DI, AFAI remember.

I kind of spread it around. I'm not a HUGE rival guy, IOW, dont really feel "joy" if GCU or Fresno for example would have their arena burn down (or however the survey phrased it...lol). I want to beat teams, of course, but....its only sports, not destroying the other schools. [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Currently mobile....away from the house or on the 'throne.'

Nevada

I know the few hard core Aggie fans know CSUB should be a rival but the reality is the general Aggie fan base does not care about Bakersfield and it's hottest coach in college basketball

1. NMSU
2. ASU
3. CSUB
4. UofA
5. NAU
6. Seattle

I honestly cant say I feel any WAC school is a rival to Seattle U, unfortunately. But I appreciate others thinking of us as a minor one. There just hasnt been any consistent close, meaningful games with anyone, incidents, etc. Hopefully soon, though

There is a difference between not liking someone and them being a rival. Me personally I don't like them because they are the "other Phoenix school". Just like how I don't like duke because they are duke. Neither has any grounds to be a rival until there is continuous contests between the two schools.

ASU is not your rival. You don't even play each other. Please give me a break. The other Phoenix school seriously? Also, saying U of A is a rival has me thinking the purple koolaid is getting spiked now.
