CUSA Men's Conference Schedules - HerdZoned - 07-12-2017 12:39 PM
Marshall just released their Men's 2017-18 Men's Basketball conference schedule handed down by CUSA. I assume everyone else will release theirs today sometime. The Non Conference schedule is still looking for a game.

Marshall Conference Games Released On Twitter
Also there is a rumor going around that in 2018-19 Marshall will be making a west coast tour that will include Washington and Gonzaga.
Anyone else had their conference schedule released yet.

These schedules are ridiculous. Using the football divisions, MT will play 10 of the 18 games against teams from the west. Only one game each against ODU and Charlotte. And once again no Saturday home game with wkcc. We play eight games against UTEP, UTSA, USM, UNT and La Tech and only two games total with Charlotte and ODU? Really? WTF? If there is any saving grace it's that we only have to play FIU and FAU once each.
Who makes these stupid schedules. Is Judy doing these or leaving to the interns?
So much for rewarding the team that's earned the league an extra $3 million.

Nothing has changed. You are not getting rewarded nor punished.
The home and home games have changed a bit this year. UAB & MT each no longer play the Florida schools twice, and pick up home & homes with La Tech & Southern Miss.
UAB's schedule is a mirror of Middle Tennessee's and is generally being viewed as a positive development in Birmingham.

Looks like the schedule is pitting the projected higher RPI teams together more which is a positive development and giving those teams less games with the projected lower RPI teams.

Then why is the two teams that finished highest in the RPI last year only playing once?
I would like to believe it but I just don't see the league's leadership being that smart.

This year Marshall's OOC is also regional with:
Ohio
Toledo
Akron
Morehead State
EKU
Chatty
William and Mary
Xavier
Even Illinois is somewhat drivable.
I wouldn't mind getting other regional schools on the schedule to like ETSU, George Mason, Dayton, Davidson and a few others. Except for conference I don't think Marshall has been west of the Mississippi since 2006 when they were in the Alaska Shootout.
