I think my lock for the conference is taking the over on Marshall. I just don't think they are capable of having another meltdown like last year and they have a lot of talent.

USM could be the wild card this year.
ODU had the softest conference schedule last year but this year their schedule will be
@UMass, @VT, @UNT, @Marshall, @FIU, @MTSU, and WKU & UNC at Home, 6-6 or 7-5 record is likely.
UNT is too low with 4 wins, 5 or 6 win is more than likely
UTEP should be over 2.5

If Marshall gets 5 or more wins Doc keeps his job, otherwise I think he's gone. He promised fans big changes after the 3 - 9 season and not so much. He better win with his status quo.

FIU 4.5- Under (New coach)
Marshall 5- Over (Bowl team, I think 6 or 7 wins)
MTSU 7.5- Over (Division Champs?)
ODU 6.5- Under (Not playing last years schedule)
WKU 9.5- Under (Change can be hard)
West o/u:
LT 9- (I think LA Tech wins 9)
NT 4- Over (Slap in the face)
Rice 3.5- Under (Bailiff should have been let go)
USM 7.5- Under (I think USM wins 7)
UTEP 2.5- Over (I see at least 3 on their schedule)
UTSA 6.5- Under (I think the Runners get 9)
UAB- (anything over 3 wins would be good)

The one thing I know for sure....
those numbers keep this conference at the bottom.
As a conference we need Middle, Western, Tech or any three of our teams at the top to win 3 OOC game or the very worse 2-2 with one of those over a P5. To really start moving up the G5...this conference needs to get to or above .500 overall in OOC games

So two posters have said our schedule will be tougher. Our OOC is tougher but still likely to come out of it 2-2 (unless we lay an egg at UMASS). The only differences in our conference schedule is
MT instead of USM
Rice instead of UTEP
NT instead of UTSA
Not a huge difference IMO
I expect 6-7 wins, pleased with more, disappointed with less. A lot will depend on others progress.

i am not familiar with what uab has recruited to come play or any holdovers, so please bear with me, but how the hell do you expect a brand new team to win 7 games? i can see 3 wins...maybe 4...alabama a/m, rice, nt, utep...
