Baseball is almost over with. What has changed. - ValleyBoy - 05-25-2017 07:58 AM

Well baseball will be over for the vast majority of us in the next few days except for 1 or 2 teams that make the NCAA Baseball playoffs. So what does that mean....it means football is just around the corner. What are some of the changes that have taken place with each of our schools football program.

For Georgia Southern our Head Football coach has changed his looks.

As someone posted on the GS message board.
Quote:I wouldn't want to look like that coach that went 5-7 last year either

Steve Roberts did that at AState, once he figured out he wasn't ever getting over the hump he gave up personal grooming.

Probably stress eating. And southern food.

For UTA, publically nothing except the on-campus stadium is a year older.

We've had 3/4 football coaches/staff left and replaced

Y'all really shouldn't have switched all of the Paulson water fountains over to Zax Sauce. It might be tasty, but damn is it doing a number over on coach.

By the time football starts, USA will have a shiny new indoor practice facility. Will be nice with all the rain/thuderstorms/heat advisories we have in Mobile.

We also have a new Head S&C coach (assistant at Alabama the last few years). This should be a huge boost to the program as hopefully it will help cut down on the crippling amount of injuries we've sustained the past 2 years. I've seen a ton of post on twitter about how much bigger and stronger some of our players have gotten in the offseason with him. Hopefully it makes a difference on the field.

If he's in that Scott Cochran mold ya'll will see some definite improvement.

He's done an amazing job at Alabama. If he's halfway as energetic as Cochran then your players will struggle just to keep up with him.

I'm big on S&C making a direct impact on the quality of your football team. That was one of our issues last year. We hired Dwayne Chandler who was with Memphis the last several years. Already seeing good reports about our guys getting in shape.

The new S&C coach, Lance Ancar, is definitely out of the Cochran mold. He's loud, fiery and getting results.
